Sunshine House was
established in 1999 and offers a range of services to birth mothers and
fathers, adoptive parents, adoptees and siblings. Suzanne Hammond is the Co-Ordinator
and relies on her 30 years experience when dealing with people wishing to be
reunited with their biological families.
Sunshine House’s aim is to:
Support members/clients through the transition period of being reunited
with family and friends.
Be
aware of the delicacy of the emotions of all parties involved.
Help all members/clients keep up to date with latest laws and information
and social issues relating to all parties.
Assist in the healing process of every member and associated parties.
Offer workshops that are suitable for birth parents, adoptees, adoptive
parents and siblings.
Offer workshops to professionals working in a counseling capacity with
people associated with adoption.
Education programs, counseling services, location specialists and a
regular newsletter is available through Sunshine House.
